Welcome to beautiful Bohuslän and Strömstad Spa & Resort – a place where land, sea, and people meet. We love the sea, and it influences everything we do, all year round.

Experience Bohuslän's coastal life

Beautiful Koster is just 40 minutes from our own marina, and activities on the sea such as fishing trips, lobster fishing, and shellfish cooking are almost mandatory when you visit us. The nature reserve Nötholmen is only 50 meters from the hotel and invites you to jog, have picnics, swim, and enjoy the sand between the trees. We are also proud of Strömstad Golf Club, which is located right by the hotel, and you can easily get there with one of our golf carts.

As a guest, you can choose from many different packages and offers. If we were to highlight one thing, it must be our FLOW Spa, which offers a wide range of treatments and experiences whether you seek tranquility, recovery, or new energy.

About our owners

Norwegian Hospitality Group

Thor Halvorsen Holding AS is the parent company and owner of Norwegian Hospitality Group (NHG). NHG owns and operates Thon Hotel Vettre and Thon Hotel Linne in collaboration with the Olav Thon Group. The company also owns and operates Thon Hotel Halden as a Thon franchise hotel.

The three major hotels — Strömstad Spa & Resort, Son Spa and Hotel Riviera — are owned and operated by NHG in close collaboration with Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels). These hotels are part of Nordic Hotels & Resorts, as is Dalen Hotel. NHG also owns Home Hotel Park in Halden, which is part of Strawberry’s Home Hotel portfolio.

NHG has also acquired the property Farris Bad AS, a hotel operated by NHR. Thor Morten Halvorsen and NHG are behind significant development projects in Telemark, where both the historic Dalen Hotel and the canal boat MS Henrik Ibsen are now owned by the company.

Today, NHG’s operations extend far beyond Norway’s borders.

We are constantly working to develop and improve our environmental efforts, and we always aim to choose solutions that consider both people and nature as far as possible. As part of Nordic Hotels & Resorts and Strawberry, we are proud to contribute to the WeCare initiative, which is about taking responsibility together. We also take part in Hållbarhetsklivet, a joint initiative in Western Sweden that promotes more sustainable tourism.
