We process your personal data in accordance with applicable Swedish data protection legislation and the GDPR.

Controller of Personal Data

We are also the controller for marketing and email communications to our customers and partners.

Processing of Personal Data for Bookings and Stays
When you book with us—either directly or through a travel partner—we process the personal data necessary to fulfil our agreement with you and deliver the services you purchase, such as spa, restaurant and room services. This may include your name, contact information, payment details and any preferences such as allergies or special requests related to your stay.

We store this information for as long as required to fulfil the booking agreement and as long as laws and regulations require. Key card data is used for security purposes and to prevent fire and vandalism. This information is automatically deleted after 21 days.

Processing of Personal Data for Marketing
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send news and offers. We may also use phone numbers or email addresses from existing customers to share relevant information, in accordance with applicable marketing legislation.

We may contact you through social media if you have given consent or if a customer relationship exists. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing info@stromstadspa.se.

Processing for Development, Error Correction and Security
We process certain information to analyse the use of our digital services, correct errors and improve functionality. This may include information about user behaviour, device and technology. The information is anonymised as far as possible.

Other Processing Purposes
When you contact us with questions, we use your personal data to respond. This processing is based on legitimate interest or to fulfil an agreement.

Data Processor
Strömstad Spa & Resort is part of Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels). Strawberry has its own Data Protection Officer, who provides advice and guidance to the hotels.

Strömstad Spa & Resort uses an AI chatbot to provide quick and easy access to hotel information. The chatbot stores conversations to improve the service, but you may choose not to use it at any time.
